What we collect and why
- Orders: your name, email, order, payment status, shipping address, and tracking information. We use these details to perform our sales contract, deliver your order, provide support, and meet tax, accounting, product-safety, and fraud-prevention obligations.
- Payments: Stripe collects and processes your payment details. We receive payment status, transaction references, and limited customer details; we do not store complete card numbers.
- Messages: when you contact us, we use your name, email address, and message to respond and keep an appropriate support record. Our basis is taking steps at your request, performing a contract, or our legitimate interest in customer support.
- Essential technical data: the site may use a short-lived session cookie and security logs to protect forms, checkout, and the admin area. Our basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure store.
- Optional analytics: if you consent, Google Analytics receives information about page views, product views, checkout starts, purchases, device and browser information, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Purchase events contain product and transaction information but do not include your name, email, delivery address, or payment-card details. Our basis is your consent, which you can withdraw through “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Who receives the data
We disclose only what is necessary to service providers involved in an order or request, including Stripe for payments, Brevo for transactional email, Google for consent-based analytics, our hosting and database providers, and delivery carriers, fulfilment partners, and customs authorities. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy obligations. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Some providers or delivery partners may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where GDPR requires it, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. How long we keep it
We keep order and core financial records for at least 7 years where required for Dutch business administration. We normally keep support correspondence for up to 2 years after the request is closed and security logs for up to 90 days. Short-lived session data ends when your browser session expires. We delete or anonymise data after the applicable period unless a legal obligation, product-safety matter, or active dispute requires longer retention.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive your personal data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent where consent is the basis, without affecting earlier processing. Email info@theskynth.com. We may need to verify your identity.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the data-protection authority where you live or work.
