What ultrasound adds to a skincare routine.

KONKA includes an ultrasound function. Ultrasound uses acoustic energy rather than electrical current or light; its effect depends on frequency, intensity, treatment time, contact, and the formula used with it.

How it works

Mechanism before marketing.

An ultrasound transducer produces sound waves above the audible range. At the skin surface, those waves can create mechanical activity and mild warming, depending on the device settings and how the applicator is coupled to the skin.

Ultrasound-assisted topical delivery is called sonophoresis. Research shows that specific, measured sonophoresis protocols can temporarily alter skin-barrier permeability. That does not mean every cosmetic ingredient is driven deeply into skin, or that every ultrasound device reproduces a laboratory protocol.

    What the evidence supports

    Ultrasound can increase skin permeability under defined sonophoresis conditions. Cosmetic facial outcomes remain specific to the tested frequency, intensity, formula, session length, and device; one recent 5 MHz trial found no instrumental improvement from ultrasound alone after eight weekly sessions.

    What we cannot assume

    Research has boundaries.

    KONKA is confirmed here as including ultrasound, but its acoustic frequency, intensity, effective radiating area, and delivered dose have not been supplied. We can explain the mechanism and its place in the routine, but cannot claim proven collagen remodeling, lifting, wrinkle reduction, or enhanced absorption for this exact device.

    Practical use

    Use the technology thoughtfully.

    • Use the conductive, water-based product recommended in the supplied manual and keep the full treatment head coupled to the skin.
    • Keep the applicator moving and use the stated session time and intensity; more exposure is not automatically more effective.
    • Do not direct ultrasound over the eyelid or eyeball. Avoid broken or irritated skin and follow every contraindication in the supplied manual.
